Cognizant of the painstaking sacrifices of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (EzeIgbo-gburugburu) in determining the content and context of Nigerian nationalism;
Desirous to promote the ideals of responsible governance that gave Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu national and international acclamation;
Eager to inculcate broad based quality education, through research and learning as epitomized by Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu;
Pursuance of the need to immortalize Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu to ensure that the ideals of this rare bred personality in instilling national consciousness remain relevant in our polity; and
